Martyrdom and protection of virginity
Saint Ursula was a British princess and martyr who led a group of eleven thousand virgins to their deaths rather than submit to dishonor. She is celebrated for her courage and commitment to her faith, having vowed her life to Jesus Christ. Her legacy is particularly honored in Cologne, where many churches house relics of her and her companions, attracting pilgrims seeking protection and intercession.
