Marcellus

Martyrdom for faith and family

Saint Marcellus was a Roman centurion who converted to Christianity along with his family. He refused to participate in pagan sacrifices, declaring himself a soldier of Christ, which led to his martyrdom. His children also followed his example, suffering martyrdom for their faith, and their mother ensured their burial in a church dedicated to them in León.
