Keep Your Lamp Burning

Jesus invites us to be like the wise virgins who were prepared for the arrival of the bridegroom. Faith is not something we can postpone until tomorrow; it must be nurtured every day through prayer, love, and good deeds. We may become distracted by our busy schedules and forget to make room for God in our lives. No one can build our relationship with God on our behalf; each of us must personally nurture that relationship. Being ready for the Lord means living each day with a faithful and loving heart. Let us keep the lamp of our faith burning, even when the bridegroom seems delayed.
